I have seen videos for hats that used the same method for the crown as she used for the bottom of the bag, and used it a few times for those. It's quick and easy.
What I did not like in her video was that she added the drawstring casing a strict 2" from the top of the bag so the little cars from the fabric showed just a bit underneath the casing. I would have moved it till they matched.
I didn't to my casing the way she did, I just stitched two rows around and left an opening in the side seams. Less bulk and easier to do.
I noticed you wrote that and can understand why you did otherwise; it's the way I usually do it as well.
Thank you, Jerri. It's interesting. I have watched it a few minutes only as it's my bedtime now. I'll continue tomorrow. Thank you.
Hugs, Lidia
Thank you. Just watch it. Her videos are very detailed and fun to watch.
I would put the batting on the front side and quilt it first for some
texture. Will definately try to make one.
Good idea. I have watched some of her other videos's and really like how she teaches.

Do you have the link

Thank you!-wouldn't these make cute "Easter" bags for kids??? (maybe that easter grass won't get all over the house then!)
Thanks Jerri. It's always educational to see how others construct their sewing projects.

Nice bag...love the flat square bottom! Thanks for the link...
Great bag! love how she makes things simply.. thank you
Pretty cool bag. I have watched her make other things and she explains well. Thanks for posting it.
Jo
I too love how she completed the bottom and it is quite easy, once you see how it is done. It also will save me quite a bit of time compared to how I use to do the base of a bag, so I very much appreciate your posting this for us! Pam
Great bag and I love the bottom. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for the link. I have been watching some of her videos on my TV and forgot her name so now I have it.
