ein passenderes Design gibt es nicht . . sieht super aus :-)) will ich mir schon ewig nähen, mal sehen wann ich es schaffe . . .
Looks great! & your free-motion quilting is really good! Have you used it yet? The catch-all? I had thought about making one (I have a large & unwieldy trash container beside my machines currently) but wondered if the fabric would "hold" on to the bits of thread & waste fabric I put into it & make it hard to get cleaned out. Any thoughts?
I am using it at the moment, works great for me, Toogie made a comment ( a couple comments down) about the lint sticking and suggested using a plastic inside , if not maybe a small sandwich bag inside then when the catch-all is full just replace the sandwich bag !
I made one years ago in quilt club, Mine has a plastic food container inside and I just pull it out and dump into regular garbage can. Works great for all the trimmings
Great idea to use a plastic container inside... now I just have to put this on my to-do list!
Oh I love the colors and design you have chosen. It is so pretty!...Here is the one I have. A friend made this for me. She is a non-machine embroiderer (can you believe? they do exist!)-lol-The only thing I wish she would have put the inside out of baby dry or some other vinyl or plastic. Easier to empty and no lint clings to it.
They are a great idea, tidies up the sewing area too, didn't think of lint clinging...... hmmm, I am making one for my eldest daughter at the moment ( she will take mine if I don't make her one) I will think about that for the lining. I like the idea of the two straps as well.
Thanks for showing me yours, I think everyone should have them !
you did a really pretty thread catcher Trish & your stippling looks good too!~hugs~
They work great these waste catchers!!!!Well done
I have one of these they are the best! I love the design and colours you have chosen.
Looks too pretty to use. I keep my threads in a big glass jar. I just love looking at all the colours through the glass. You have done a fantastic job with your quilting
Absolutely beautiful Trish. I keep all my threads in a 1kg plastic honey pot. Of course the honey is all gone! I would love one of these too. Love Chris
Thankyou for your comments, I did always have a plastic bag beside me when I sew on the machine and embroidered by hand (something that my mother always had me do) but the cottons would always seem to end up on the floor, am hoping this will be better, and with the pincushion attached to it I don't keep dropping the pins either.
Beautifully done. You did a fantastic job. Love the colors and the design.
Handy little critter and such a pretty color. I've never done any quilting so it it's great to me.
Thanks for your comment, this is the first time I have ever tried quilting, I am a bit self teach here as there is no place I can go for lessons, (except for this cutee site of course)
That is so neat and keeps things neat/Lillian
, Thanks Lillian for you comments ,it keeps the bits off the floor, it is amazing how the bits of cotton somehow ends up on the floor instead of the bin, then the vacume has a problem as the cottons stick to the carpet
