Hi Toogie !!!Sorry this is a post from a while ago But I love them and would love to try them. Thanks for sharing and i have copied your cap pattern and am wanting to try to make one. I am a little hesitant but should just get off my butt and try it. LOL. I noticed you said that the duck/platypus was a freebie a while ago. Was that the one on a european site? If it is I tried sooooooooooooo many times to get it with no luck. Are you able to tell me what site it was on? Hope you are going well and thanks again for you great instructions on the baby beanie. :D
I have to tell you this- See the colors I used. I was told the baby was being named little Shelby after the grand-father. I gave this gift 3 months ago. One of my daughters came and asked if I had seen a picture of the baby. I'm not on Facebook. She continued to speak,as she was looking for the picture. I never heard a word past, "She's so pretty"... I kept thinking SHE-lol- I bought her in here and showed her what I sent. She couldn't believe what I had done. Then my youngest daughter came in and the older one had to tell her of my boo-boo. Then she couldn't believe I did this. She told me, "didn't you notice that your invitation was PINK and brown?"....NO is all I could say...I did say if the grandpa is Shelby and they were having a 'little Shelby' I thought it should mean a little man.-lol- I guess I'll do worse things before I die!
OH NOOOOOOOOOOO !!! LOL. It is all still VERY CUTE ! Names are just SOOOO hard , aren't they. So the baby is names Shelby though, yes?!!? I have never ever hear the name for a child anyway. When I hear Shelby I think of the cars back in the '60's. I always wanted a /65 Mustang. In Australia they are a collectable but it looks like in America ,where the car was built , that they seemed to have been an everyday car. Anyway . I used to say to Dad that I wanted a Mustang for my 30th birthday, he used to tinker with cars. Now he is retired and lives on a farm. Lots to do there. :) Oops side tracked A LOT there! I'm sure Shelby's Mum was STILL wrapped with the LOVELY gifts you made. NOTHING better than a handmade gift. ESPECIALLY if they are as cute as the ones you made Shelby . Thanks for the replies !!!!
