glad you had a good weekend, hate wind ans rain, we had to cancel both our markets as Michael has the flu, now my turn, give me chance to get my stock up....wendy
Hate wind and rain at a Market but think the Flu would be worse. Get better soon.
Glad the weather behaved it self until the afternoon.I love it when you sell things that have been around for awhile.
Had a stall booked for Easter Sunday but it started raining on Good Friday & continued through Saturday so we didn't load the car,it was still raining 1am Sunday morning.Woke up early, daylight saving had finished & it wasn't raining ,checked the weather radar & there was no rain nearby so woke up husband to help load the car,he reckon I was mad.About a 25% of the stall holders turned up ,the Lions charged us half price for the stall & I had a good morning even selling some items that I called white elephants.A certain person had to eat his words.
I love getting rid of white Elephants. Glad you at least got to sell some of your stash over the weekend.
Wonderful that you sold so much even with closing up early! Also hope that others will continue to see the quality of your work. Those extra steps in design selection and in stitching techniques really combine to make a superior project work any extra expense. Great Job and hope you are able to find even more designs that continue to fly off your market shelves. Pam
Thank You Pam. Have a small Market next Sunday so my left over stock should get me through this one then I can concentrate on filling up again.
have a look at Basketkase designs. Vicki has lots of cats.
Sounds like you did well even with the bad weather. I know what you mean about feeling your towels looked better. Some people take short cuts and don't use a topping and it shows in the end results. I also find if you embroider something different to what you see mass produced for the shops. They fly off the table so fast.
Hope you have warmed your bones up again.
I checked out the ones across from me and they were not finished very well and tops were not embroidered with nice subjects but they were cheaper.
Congratulations on what sounds a very successful few days.
You can't do anything about the weather but it sounds like a successful market otherwise, Now you will have to get ready for the next one.
Tuesday was a little cloudy and little rain but not like Monday. Why couldn't it have waited.
Write a note to Emb Library.. I did about doing some cat sketches. They are always looking for ideas for designs. If you write they will have two requests. I am looking to do some for my rescue to sell .Suzanne
So very pleased that you did well., even thou you had bad weather on the Monday. Well done.
Thank You. I have been told I do lovely work and I am thinking to myself, "Well why don't you buy something"?
I think this is a mantra that viewers at markets utter. Much better than hearing what a load of rubbish. Exactly the same is muttered in the UK
Congrats on being a top seller, at least in my book you are. I think you will be busy stitching this week to build up your stock again. I hope EL offers some good cat designs we all can use.
