Any of the freebie software will convert an embroidery file to pes for you. But how will you put it in your machine if you do not have a usb (thumb drive)??
I also have a Brother machine, a Quattro. You may want to try to use the hus file in your Brother. Mine will use pes, hus, and I think dst is the third one that Brother can read. One you put in the jump (thumb) drive, you will know if your machine can read it.
Mine does not have a thumb drive. According to the book it take PES and I can use DST only it won't show the design. Thank you for the suggestions.
I haven't found any differences in changing one format to another except for the colors you see on your monitor. I have heard the advice to use the format that it was digitized in, but then I always have to convert it to the format my machine uses anyway. I think with the newer programs and technology, the differences are minute, if any.
I do know that hus will add beginning stitches to many pes files when converted. I usually try to use xxx to get the cleanest pes file.
The only thing I know for sure that embroidering each format and see which sews out the best would take a lot of time and waste. Most files that download in a zipped version do have the PES format included because it is one of the most used. I convert from JEF if PES is not included, but can not tell you why. I think it was the colors i liked best at the beginning. Ha, ha.
Thank you some contain JEF and some other files, then others contain HUS and other files.
yes you can convert any of the formats to pes
I understand that I can convert any format however, is there any format that convert better than another. I have noticed that for the same design the formats are different size files.
