I get occasionally have that message on 2 different systems. The way I handle it is to just go to the kitchen for a cuppa and then retry or hit F5 to refresh and retry.
A couple of times I have had to wait a few hours to do a successful retry.
Best thing is don't fret. Machines only do what they are programmed to do. And I think we are smarter than the programmers. :-)
Thank you, hitting retry works for me, just thought there was something to stop it happening altogether.
I get it occasionally, not enough to worry me. I am using Windows 8.1. Just retry and all is OK.
Yes, once I hit retry, the design does download. Just thought there might be a solution to the problem.
I never received this message on my XP computer and always ended up with corrupted files. Now, no more corrupted files from interrupted downloads. I soooooo like it.
Yes I get it quite often since upgrading to windows7. Very frustrating
The font is from Betty's Original Designs, but you can only get it by her Newsletter. I get the message on other downloads, just happen to get it on this design, so that was why I asked. Nothing to do with Betty's site, just my computer.
Anything that slows down a download -- will do that. It stalls the download. Then when you press "Retry" it finishes quickly from the temp file. It losses the download at the file renaming spot -- when it stalls and that is why it has that message. This happens frequently with computers that use uTorrent and other software that demand a lot from the internet.
A firewall can also cause the timeouts -- but they are more consistent with a firewall.
