Question about designs...

I have spotted some cute pretty princess designs on a site frequently referred to here. I have previously purchased other designs there, but some of these princesses appear to resemble licensed princesses. ONLY in their colour clothing and hairstyles though. In general they do not look like the licensed characters at all, just the clothing and hair makes me think of them that way.

Before I purchase is someone more knowledgable able to tell me if this is ok to buy them. I don't want to get in trouble down the track.
I can provide a link if needed but I don't intend to create any problems for anyone or stir up trouble. I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing myself. The princess are very pretty and versatile as I was thinking of buying a few different ones and make them to look like my girls and their friends.

Would suggest posting a private message to the moderators jrob, rescuer, and mops about the site in question. Generally if the design looks like, especially Disney princesses, except for a change of colors then usually they are not legal. Legal designs are not afraid to have them look exactly as the princesses did. When trying to make just slight changes then the are trying to deceive. Great question as I have also wondered about some designs I come across and while asking the site directly if they have a license to sell specific designs, we well know that there are those who would still lie and say anything they needed to in order to make a sale. Hope one of the moderators is able to answer you and look at the designs you are specifically needing help determining if they are legal or not. ((Hugs)) for trying to only stitch out legal designs. Thanks Pam. I will do that. The designs don't really look like the Disney ones, just the colour and style of the clothes and hair make me think of them that way. Which is why I was unsure.
