what a great result and so for the first time ! well done
Turned out awesome. I love the embroidery you chose. Fits perfect
love it, and I can empathize with you about having to always improvise (Wow, big words for this early in the day!) I live about 200km away from a sewing shop. I use the internet a bit to buy things sometimes.
Thanks a lot. ...I too sometimes have to purchase online stuff which is impossible to get here :)
This is great ! I think you did a wonderful job!! I like the fleece idea. I seem to have a lot of that. :-) Thanks for sharing.
Hugs, Nadyne
Very nice bag love the designs. Thank you for sharing, Happy Stitching
So pretty and lovely embroidery too. I wouldnt think of embroidery on the handles, Thanks for the idea. Hugs..Shyam.
You have done a great job, Fatima, congratulations!
Hugs, Lidia
This is beautiful - I too especially like the embroidered handles!
Wow! This is beautiful! I love that you have embroidery all over it (and especially love the embroidery on the handle). I read below where you said you did two hoopings for the design on the front. Your work is impressive. Very very nice. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you so much :). ...I love embroidery and specially designs like these!
The one on the handles is a freebie from Dorria designs....I just love her designs!
For a first attempt it looks well done to me, nothing to change.
Thank you for sharing. Amitiés de France
Looks like you have been doing these for a while. I don't see anything wrong with this one. I really like the designs on the handles, Also, how well does the fleece do as a stabilizer? I also have a lot of fleece and am interested in trying a bag but I can't do zippers.
Thanks a lot dear :)
The fleece works pretty well.....the red box I had done a while back also had fleece as stabilizer while embroidering! But try not to use a very delicate thread or something which breaks easily....other than this theres nothing to worry about!
About zippers....I dont do them much either but they aren't that bad :) specially if you have a zipper foot on your machine....go ahead give it a try! Good luck :)
For your first attempt it looks perfect to me. Smart looking bag you could take it anywhere,
You've done an awesome job on the whole bag Fatima. You get so much done in a day! Love the design and the colour of your fabric. Well done, it's good to use things that we have on hand. You are right it's not always easy to have the 'right' things on hand. Love Chris
Thank you so much Chris :) I was a little worried about trying all this as I had never attempted before but finally it came together pretty easily!
Love it what else can i say???? except can i have it or buy it lol just kidding hugs
Beautiful!! I have learned to not use black for the inside of a purse--It's hard to see what's in there. For the inside use a lighter fabric.
Absolutely beautiful! I love your fabric choice, the embroidery designs and your craftsmanship is amazing!
You did a very nice job on your first attempt. I can't see anything I would change. :)
I think your bag turned out lovely! You really must have a large size hoop,as I just love your designs,EVERYWHERE. I use fleece,as batting, in some of my projects too. You don't always have to use exactly what it calls for. Use what works for you.Great job!-Toogie
Thank you so much Toogie :)
Yeah you are right that we have to just use what would work and I am quite used to substituting for different stuff!
I have a 5×7 hoop max dear....the design in the middle was done in 2 hoopings :) Glad you liked it!
I really do like it. Afterward I looked again and thought that maybe you put one design, turning 3 times, to meet the first. It really looks good and your designs for the handle looks like some linen designs Design By Sick has.....I really hate when I post, it comes up twice. I think there is something going on with my pc. When I hit my go back arrow, it goes back 2 pages.
