I love doilies. Fatima, your doily turned out beautifully. It makes me want to give it a try. Great job! Joyce
This is a great stitchout! I like the thread color you used too. Well done!
So lovely.... I like this design very much...it would look nice as a border on a tray cloth but that is a lot of work. Lidia has indeed inspired us and she is very kind to have shown us how to join the pieces. I only have a 4x4 hoop...guess it is impossible to stitch in one hooping. Hope to see more of your creativity. Hugs...Shyam
Thanks a lot Shyam....yes indeed the inspiration and kindness are the speciality of Cuties :)
Oh wow! Fatima this is just gorgeous. I'm so glad you are encouraged to try something new from the ladies on here. It's always wonderful to see all the things that can be made. Sue Box (a wonderful Australian digitiser) has wonderful ideas and her designs always sew out so beautifully. Well done another wonderful job. Love Chris
Thank you so much Chris :)
Very true Sue's designs are beautiful! I have already learned so many new things being here on Cute and get ideas and inspirations to try so much!
I am glad to be a part if this community where wonderful people like you exist :)
Have a great day!
Excellent job and good for you for trying something new:):)hugs Carolyn
Well done. Good to see you are game to try anything. Hugs
So Beautiful...Great work you did!!!!Love it
Just a thought that would likely work to make even larger doilies but within your 5X7 limitation would be to now hoop a sticky stabilizer and take the completed doily and once you have basted out the next design border lay the completed doily so that it barely overlaps so that they will then be joined at the outer tips of the flowers, or another way would be to make as many of these 5x7 squares as you needed and then to join them with a zig zag stitch at those outer tips of the flowers on the design. Love the chocolate color you used for these and can not speak highly enough about the Sue box designs of which she has a flash sale going for a couple of days on some of the designs from her 3D lace collection and the designs available for just a few dollars are great building blocks to create to our hearts content.
Thanks a lot for your suggestions!
Yes there are other ways we can make a bigger one....but I meant all in 1 go has its limited size :)
But I would try other alternatives too....thank you!
Lovely! I will have to give this a try when I can get my machines set up again!
