Love it. I was thinking as I was reading - SUCKER - but thought that was a bit rude then as I read on I see you called yourself Sucker. Enjoy your new machine, Your hubby will get over it and when he sees you making use of it he won't mind.

I already have 2 baby quilts commissioned ....ill have it paid for sooner than i planned
Forgot to say that when my hubby said he didn't know what to get me for my Birthday Christmas & our Wedding Anniversary which come all within 16 days I sweetly asked if he had any Idea what he wanted as his (BD is 1 Dec & our anniversary is 2 Jan) he told me his wish list so I told him I would like something to add to my sewing room (he pulled a face & said that it in the too hard basket) so we did a deal He would buy his & I would buy mine. so brought my machine home in a Big box which I opened on Christmas Day (I had already tested it or 3 week) I think it will be a long time before he'll want me to buy my own gifts. I Love my 2 machines but need more time in the days.
I needed a new sewing machine with a longer arm. He told me that as long as he didn't have to pay for it I could it. He also I had enough fabric (true) and didn't need to buy any more, but I'm tired of looking at the same thing. so when he left for work off to the thrift shop. I stashed it in my fabrics and he will never know.
Tell him the truth. Just say too him as you said here that you always wanted a second machine & when you went to the machine shop to pick up parts for your machine, you saw a machine which you looked at then looked again & knew you couldn't afford it as it would be over $1500 but the temptation was so high when it was only going to cost $600 (which is the money value u paid) you looked into the history etc. then as you just couldn't pass such a good machine wanting a home, it is now in the car waiting to come inside, or if it's inside, you have found a home for it. if he asks where the home is take him in to show him how well it looks or just say its in your sewing room them change the subject quickly to the last thing he brought or what is on his wish list. Enjoy
he buys cars...mine isn't that much...yes its in the sewing room but not set up yet.
Good for you!!! Enjoy every second on the new machine. You got a heck of a deal!
Cindy
WOW!!!! You got an excellent deal on an excellent machine! The three year service is $400! It's a steal! You really got a great deal!
i think you have done a great deal. let us know how you get on!! have a great day!!
Hope the move into the house went well.
Congrats on the great bargain. You saved him advertising expenses.
My DH doesn't notice a thing! Except what machines I have!
Though come to think of it, he hasn't noticed that one is missing - it is in the shop for service.
so far so good...buts its under the table for now...i have to finish organizing sewing room
What a great deal that sounds like. He really wanted to sell to you. Well done! Hmm might have to try the old line like with shoes and other clothes. "Oh, that's been here for ages -hadn't you noticed?" :)
FANTASTIC ! ! ! What a buy .... Congrats girl !
Hugs
Linda
Thanks Linda...I usually find really good deals when im not looking. if i look there never is one.
You cleaned house! Congratulations. The thread is a real coup.
Woo Hoo! Do the Happy Dance!! I am so excited for you.
Hugs, Nadyne
Oh Deanna I 'm so proud for you. This is great news. I have a Babylock
elegante 11 and love it. Congratulations on your good deal! Hugs lillian
Congratulations. If he says anything just tell him it followed you home...can I keep it? It usually gets a chuckle and grin from mine. End of subject. Hope you have lots of fun with this newest acquisition.
my dh knows me too well, but i guess he always comes home with a different car, so i can always use that on him....
Even though I have 2 machines I cannot embroider on both at the same time, It would drive me crazy.
Bev, i thought that too. Set one up with a hoop FULL of FSL lace designs, all one color and start it. Then give your attention to the #2 machine with something that requires more tending. Every so often, glance over at your FSL tree ornaments or whatever.
I think I will set the bigger desins on one and do the ones that have more thread changes on the other....im' not really into fsl, but maybe now I can start.
How wonderful. I wish you many happy hours with your bargain.
It is a fantastic deal! You will enjoy having a second machine - it is so nice to be able to do something else when, especially while you are doing lace, you want to do something else too. Good luck and enjoy the new one too.
Congrats!! You will be so happy to have 2!
I hope so...i get anxious just watching 1 move along when i know i have to stitch out multiple designs.
Life is good! Enjoy your new machine! I'm glad you have a good dealer. It is so miserable when a dealer doesn't help.
I'm so happy for you! I love my Babylock machines. Your dealer sounds like mine with all the goodies too. Go have fun stitching with your new baby.
tomorrow i plan on trying it out. it is suppose to be one step below my 4500D...so i think it will be comp to the Brother 4000
Congratulations...is this the Ellageo BLL machine? You will have a wonderful time with it I am sure...
Congrats on the new baby. Does she have a name yet? And good luck with the husband. Mine notices everything these days! Hugs. Nan w
Congratulations. You have put the reasons why its good to buy from a dealer and not from a supermarket or the like. You will continue to get good service for years (and maybe another machine or two) Have fun sneaking a new machine into the house. Can you send your husband out for a while as you are bringing the new machine in?
good news..he has to work first thing in the morning so i can put it in my sewing room ...throw fabric over it while im at work...think i can manage it...after awhile i can say i have had it for awhile...lol
Oh Silly, just go up to him and say, I have something I really need to tell you, and I'm not really sure how.... He'll think is something really bad...... then when you tell him about the incredible deal you got, he'll be fine. And.... if not you could always sell it and make a profit!
He'll say to keep it, of course. If he buys cars, he'll understand!
