I think the star is \ just FABULOUS with it !!!
Flowers for all of you . Long way down too. LOL
Why change something that is perfect? It's really adorable! Great job.
Either way will look great.. but I do like the star.. Marian
Very impressive. In my opinion, leave the star in. It is a beautiful work of art the way it is. Well done.
Thank you. I think they look so beautiful together!!!1
WOW! These look great together. I will definitely have to try this when we finally get things finished and my sewing room is functional!
Hugs, Nadyne
Thanks and glad many cuties liked it and this has inspired me to try more of fsl designs....im learning alot here.
you are so much braver than me!! I downloaded this design too but haven't gotten any farther.
you have done a beautifull job on this, I would leave the star too, perfect match
Love the star in the center!!!! I would definitely keep it.
Very creative, to use the star in the middle of your doily!
Amazing how it all fits together!!!
Very nice I think I just might try this one
Yes..you should, it is a joy to stitch sue's designs, they stitch out perfect. I think your question has been answered, you will have to create an account with them before youncan download the design. Thanks.Hugs, Shyam.
The star in the center makes it perfect! Beautiful job.
I think the star is beautiful with the hearts. You made a wonderful choice and thank you for the link for the star.
In my humble opinion it's gorgeous! If you used fabric behind the star or even just the fabric you could achieve two entirely different looks. I love the way you have attached the star to the center, it's suspended and a real focal point. If it's not too delicately joined I'd love to see it completed this way, you could always add a piece of fabric for stability later. hugs
Thanks, Leaha for your opinion, hope it turns out as shown after stitching. Hugs..Shyam.
They are meant for each other. They go together so well.
That's spectacular, Shyam, love it! Visually is fantastic but I would add fabric at the back, in the middle, because the little balls at the end of the star, that you attach to the hearts, are not strong enough to stay attached for long. Instead of fabric, you could attach fine net like the one they use for bride's veil.
Hugs, Lidia
Yes, Lidia..I agree with you..the little balls are not strong.
I would prefer all lace as it looks nicer but I couldn't find a suitable design to fill the centre, so my next option is to add fabric as you have suggested. Its quite a difficult task to attach as shown in the picture. I would be happy if I can get a centre lace design to fill the gaps to make the joins stronger. Lidia..you have really inspired me...love all your work. Thanks a lot..Hugs..Shyam.
I think it looks great.. It sort of matches the star in the middle of the heart. I think you're doing fantastic.
It is just beautiful. The star makes a perfect center for this design.
How gorgeous........love the color, too....
Thanks...you all are experts. I am just a beginner and I love this site and all the cuties here. Hugs..Shyam,
It looks beautiful Shyam....the star fits in perfectly! :)
Waiting to see the final doily once you put the pieces together :)
Putting the pieces together is the most difficult...wonder if it will turn out as shown... all the advice and opinions by experts here....have given me some confidence. The link has many other freebies, check it out. Thanks. Hugs..Shyam.
Looks Stunning!!Both would look Gorgeous either way!!!!Great job done
Nice job...I think the star is a beautiful fit...but the fabric center would look nice, too...why not do both?
You mean to put the star on the fabric and insert into the
center or make two doilies? I will consider making another doily as big as it is shown here when I get a machine with a larger embroidery area...mine now is only 4x4. Thanks..Hugs, Shyam.
