This is a link to a fabulous pillow that was recently posted in Projects. Modern and lovely and personal and useful!
Wellllllll............be sure they are going to have the same last name before you stitch anything! I felt so silly when I found out. Some young couples I have stitched for have enjoyed fun things more than elegant - a likeness of their black lab on a lime green potholder to match their dishes...Really!
You make a very good point and to be honest I am not quite sure as it is for a friends daughter. It isn't something I have ever thought about but will be sure to now, thank you
How about a wedding sampler...the designs can be as "modern" as you choose...but it is a nice way to commemorate their wedding day...it can be framed or made into a pillow.
The top one is a quick cute gift. It has 4 hand towels, for better, for worse, for richer, and for poorer. There is in the back of the basket some hand soap, some body wash and 4 brown wash cloths. (Brown was their chosen color for the master bath)
The second photo is a set of King size sheets monogrammed so that the top sheet can be folded back so that the monogram shows.
Thank you for the photos. I like the top one as it means if they are not quite to their taste they can rehome them to someone who will appreciate them.
Another suggestion is a pillow in a neutral colour with a split ampersand & their last name. Put the couple's first names above & below. Add est. & the date of the wedding.
I would suggest a set of bath and hand towels and face cloths. They can be monogrammed with a modern style and look like a million bucks! Hugs. Nan W
I once sewed bottles (see example) , designs were from emb library (you can check ther projects tabs by looking for :Toast to the Bride and Groom.
For something quick I embroider a tea towel with something customised on it. I have put a link below of one I posted here. I have also embroidered the names of the couple and the date of the wedding and framed it. Something personal will mean a lot to them and doesn't need to take you ages to make. I look forwards to seeing the replies from other Cuties what you produce . Have fun
I hadn't even thought of a tea towel. I agree something personal is a great idea to commemorate the occasion
