It is in Portuguese, but she illustrates it very well facebook.com/video.php?v=236685119820989 Easy to follow, as she shows all the steps, right up to hooping.
what a great question Jerrilyn! I had no idea that we could do this! ~hugs~
This is the best to see how the adaptor was made, at least for me. I need to "see" as well as hear or read to get it.

Hope this link takes any of you interested there.
I'll be trying this as soon as my DH makes the time to cut it out. I have marked it where I want it cut. (I can run the jig saw, but it is at our business and I've had the grandchildren all day, so can't get down there.)
Thanks for asking this, I didn't even know you could do it. Now I am intrigued!
I remember seeing a video on this, but can't remember where it was either...
I don't know if these links will help or not...
Thanks these links are good and I have just been distracted for the last half an hour from what i came here to do :) I can't get the video to load though, Are there only certain countries that can view it do you know?
Sorry, YouTube links do not always work here.

Thank you. That link worked. Some good information on there. I know what the kids will be getting soon!
I remember this DIY cap holder idea - you cut the middle out of the clipboard and place the cap's bill into the clip. Set the clipboard inside your hoop onto of the stablizer (I think). But this is all I remember. Hopefully someone will come along with the link that was posted awhile back. Good luck!
