They are both so pretty! Vivian will be thrilled to wear them.
Hugs, Lidia
Oh, Lidia - she does love them - it is so cute to watch her!! Thanks, Laura*
They are very pretty. I could never make clothes. I cant read patterns and I am a novice who tried a shirt once but I got lost during the dart process!!
Welcome to Cute!!! These you could make easily. Just 1 seam down the back - hem the bottom and attach 4 ribbons - see you could do that!! Sewing a shirt is a difficult project even for a seamstress.... try again on something easy - Hugs to you, Laura*
Great job! I love these buy by the inch fabric, you can sew up dresses so quickly..These are so cute, Put a turtle neck tee on her and let her wear them/Lillian
This was a fun quick project that made Vivian so happy. I need to suggest to her Mom to let her wear them with a turtleneck and leggings!!! Thanks bunches, Laura*
They look wonderful, and will be so cool in the summer heat.
Such great little dresses Laura. Well done. I bought some Tinkerbell shirred panels a couple of years ago with Meg and the girls loved them. Love Chris
They are so simple aren't they!! But Vivian loves her's - I just wish our weather would get warmer!! Hugs, Laura*
How do you measure for these sweet dresses? I bought a couple panels for my daughter and granddaughter by what the cutting lady told me, and they don't even go around them. So sad as the fabric is beautiful. Any ideas? Hugs and blessings, Penny in TN.
Hi Penny...these are already sheered fabric with the elastic in them...they are usually sold by the inch...measure around the chest for how many inches you need...then just add straps.
Penny, I didn't know how much I needed so I went to the pattern area of the store and saw that a 2 year old is about 21 inches around the chest - so, I bought 22 inches each - and they were just perfect - It has a nice amount for a seam. It must have been disappointing to not have enough. I was very lucky!
Thank you so much for your reply. She told me 26" would stretch enough for a 34" bust so it wouldn't fall down. Oh my, I am gonna try setting in enough fabric down the back or maybe each side to make it work, just can't bear to not use it! This isn't even enough for my 9 yr. old granddaughter. The lady seemed so confident with her reply, wish she would have just said she didn't know. Thanks again, I love yours and it has me inspired to make it work somehow.
I love the little bows. No wonder she loves them.
Sweet...I was at JoAnn's Fabrics yesterday and saw these shirred dress panels...so great...sold by the inch! Vivian will look adorable in these.
I took them to her last night and she took them and hung them on the door knob to her bedroom. Poor thing can't wait them for a while!! I think this is the first time I purchased material by the inch!! But so quick and easy - almost cheating!! Thanks Kim!! Hugs, Laura*
Well, you could always do what my Nieces do...put a turtleneck under it and a pair of leggings...stretches out the seasonal wearing...they do this with all the sundresses I make and send them...
