Hoop storage. For my MC 11000SE I had hanging pockets which kept all my hoops safe and to hand. The hoops for my MC 15000 are far two unwieldy to do that so I had to think of a new idea. Mike made me a strong wooden frame on a thick base and cut thin sheets of hardboard to cover the sides. I made snug fitting covers (just bags really) for each side piece. (The picture shows them before I stitch the bottoms up.)

Next, I stitched the panels together, from the inside for the first three but from the outside for the last one.
Fancy upholstery nails hold the outside to the frame.
I overestimated the size I would need, but the extra width accommodates small rolls of fusible and ws stabiliser.

Excellent! I have used this frame technique for a few things, my son's train table when he was small and the kitties perch.

Looks great. How big are the hoops?

Sue, I have a Pfaff and the large hoops it uses. I was told that you should ALWAYS store them flat so that they won't warp. Considering the sizes do be careful of temperature extremes that could cause problems. I love your input into this site. Be blessed.

Thanks - I've always kept them vertical and hadn't heard that before. Temperature extremes aren't a big problem here.

Excellent Sue and very smart. Did you give the hanging hoop storage to your sister when she collected her 'new' machine?

Yes I did and no it isn't. I think the celtic knot came from Kreative Kiwi.
