WOW111absolute excellent very nice and so beautiful loved it and allso the lace very great,Hugs Stella
Oh Lidia, this is stunning...love the blue shades, the lace is lovely. What software do you use to combine the designs into one hooping....and if you dont mind what machine do you have? Sorry, Lidia I am asking you this question because a ' Brother ' salesman recommended I get the 1500d model..sewing and embroidery. Any advice from you and all the cuties will be very much appreciated. Hugs..Shyam.
Thank you, Shyam. The software I'm using is Embird, my sewing/embroidery machine is Husqvarna/Viking Topaz 30. My largest hoop measures 360x200mm (14 1/4 x 8" approx.).
I have just googled the Brother 1500d, its largest hoop is 4" shorter and 2" less wide (approx.) than my largest hoop which is the one I have used for this doily and for most of my doilies.
Hugs, Lidia
Very nice. Any mother would love to get one of these on Mother's Day. Hugs Shirley
Gorgeous...that will be one happy Mum that receives this beauty!
so delicate & quite lovely Lidia. A mom will love it!~hugs~
As always, beautiful! Love the red white and blue/Lillian
Lidia your work is soooo beautiful and neat.....I just love it!
I wish I can learn to do this too :)
My, my Lidia...this is breathtakingly beautiful. I love these designs, colors and all your work...just lovely
Gorgeous doily. Love the flower ribbons, and little birds. The blue threads do stand out well. This is very cheerful and I like your lace edging as well (as usual, a great job).
This looks so perfect it's almost like looking at a picture! It is just stunning Lidia. Your work is so professional. Do you sew the little flowers first as an individual design then attach them to the linen? I'd love to know how you get it so even. Well done, love Chris
Thank you, Chris. I combine all the designs for the doily in my software and stitch the whole doily out in one hooping. Nothing has been done separately.
Hugs, Lidia
That edging took some time to stitch out, Loralye, but, being all in one colour, it didn't require my constant attention, just to replace the bobbin thread when needed, so I have been free to attend to other things in the meantime.
Hugs, Lidia
Beautiful! Your mum will be delighted.
The picture shows very clearly the effect of different stitch directions in the birds. The play of light is a digitiser's (and embroiderer's) best friend.
Thank you, Martine. This doily isn't for my mum (she died years ago) it's for another mum. Love the play of light, that's why I use the shining rayon thread.
Hugs, Lidia
I am sorry, I could have guessed as you wrote a mum. Mine died 2001, but you never forget, do you.
Hugs, Martine
Don't be sorry, Martine, I could have written in a different way. You are right, we never forget.
Hugs, Lidia
