Dear Cuties, Many thanks to Cuties who have followed me through the last several months of happiness and sadness. It has been a tough road. I find peace through my family, friends, faith and of course Cuties. Today is our anniversary and I want to share my thoughts to my "Blackie" Picture was taken on our wedding day 33 years ago.

Oh, Blackie. I wonder how you're feeling on what would've been such a wonderful day. Instead, it's a very sad day. I feel as though I want to cry, or at least should cry, and I will cry. My heart will feel as heavy as it has ever been. Oh, how I wish that I could see you again. I miss your notes signed "I love you Forever and 2 days.” I think of the place where we met. I wish I could bring you back. I wonder what gifts we would've given each other today. I wouldn't have cared what you would've gotten me, so long as it came from you. I loved it when you spell out my name, Suzz. I remember the way you used to make me smile. You still make me do that. Blackie, I remember how much I loved your name. Cherished it. I still love it so much. I remember that our song was "If" by Bread and later we found the song "Look at Us" by Vince Gill. Both of those songs remind me of you. Remembering our memories makes me smile. And even though I still miss you so much, Blackie, I know that you're at peace. On our wedding day you told me "I love you forever and 2 days".

Sometimes the veil to the afterlife can seem very thin, so continue to talk to him. Take time to laugh and cry today, as it will be a bittersweet day, as you are thankful he is at peace, but missing him so very deeply. I know this sweet tribute you shared with us will be also be known by him. Maybe let him know that you will celebrate this special anniversary, for the both of you until you can be together again when he will reassure you that he was truly there with you, through each of those special days, just from the other side, and that he was also longing for you to be there with him but only once your journey here on earth was complete. I continue to have them although it has been 25+ yes since Tom died and I have remarried. Our life together was really quite a ride. Our love for each other is unforgettable. Thank you for keeping up with me, I will be someday be traveling that fast lane with Blackie watching over me.
