For those of you that are more familiar with FSL. When stitching FSL do you need to slow down your machine's speed or can you stitch it at a high speed setting?

Is anyone familiar with True Type fonts copyrights? For example if one digitizes a free true type font can you use however you want? ie. sell it, give it to others for free, etc...
