A while ago Gignac from France showed us some multidirectional scarves that she had made. I just had to try. I am not a great knitter but I found making my scarf to be quite fascinating. My next one will be much thinner - just have to find the right woo
My daughter has asked me if I would part with my silver bracelet, which I have not worn for at least 20 years. Thought it should have a little pouch for her to keep it in. Hope she likes it. There are so many memories on that bracelet. Sarah.
SUE'S PURSE I decided to try my hand at quilting and using batting and am quite pleased with the result. What I am not happy with is the writing - I really should have used a different colour as it is impossible to read. It actually says 'Rings & th
SUE'S APRIL CHALLENGE I told Chris (pennifold) that I was making a shirt for myself and that my DH said it looked like material for pyjamas. I decided to add some embroidery (Paisley from SewForum) which I cut various parts out for the sleeves and b
No embroidery but I have been making myself some clothes over the Easter weekend. This is a shirt I finished yesterday.
A request from my GD Georgie - "Please can you make me a foxy blanket - but it must be pink". I have done my best and have lined it. Hope she likes it.
My youngest daughter is turning 40 next month. Apart from her main present, I am making lots of small gifts. Her horse Blue looks just like this one. Sarah.
T SHIRTS FOR GEORGINA Hope she likes them.
T. SHIRTS FOR BEN I have now embroidered a dozen t shirts for the twins. If I see another t shirt I will 'scream'.......
This is the first time I have used this design. I came across it in my stash of designs. It is just so like Ben and Georgie and this is exactly what they do on their own swing. Their mum has asked me to embroider one on a piece of sateen curtain lining
SUE'S CHALLENGE My version of Sue's purse. Like Chris (pennifold) I also burnt my elastic loop but managed to finish it all with the sewing machine and a piece of ribbon. Well done Sue it is a brilliant design - thank you. Sarah.
Another old t shirt with a design from the treasure hunt at Secrets. If you look closely you will see that it has sewn off centre a bit but it was my fault, kept having to take the hoop off to add the appliqué - just not careful enough.
Thank you Sue (Dewsbury) for the different ideas for making cards. I have taken note and have come up with this, which I am very pleased with. It is for my SIL's mother who will be turning 80. The appliqué vintage heart is from GG Designs and I just
Just love these designs from Embroidery Library. I bought 4 in this range when they were on special. I have embroidered the tea towel for a friends birthday. Sarah.
I made a huge blunder sewing out a redwork design on an old t shirt of mine. It has taken me two days to remove the stitching, leaving plenty of holes (picture 1) I have now appliquéd a heart design from GG Design Embroidery and merged 2 mini hearts on
