The lighting in my sewing room is terrible.It's hard to tell what colors are what,brown looks purple etc. I know Ott lights are some of the best-at least that is what I have heard but is there some other brand you would recommend that is less expensive?

Best tip ever. Do you use rubber bands,hair ties,hugos amazing tape or some other method to keep your thread spools from unraveling? Then watch this short video and try this tip. Works great!

My needle threader on my machine quit working and I found it had a piece of thread fuzz stuck in it, So I'll fix it.Grabbed a pair of needle nose pliers and went to grab it but got distracted by someone behind me and grabbed the wire also so now it will

For anyone doing the mug rugs. If you don't like hand sewing the backs get some fabric glue. I use Beacon Magna-Tac 809 permanent adhesive. It leaves a much nicer finish than hand sewing and faster too

I am wondering how many of you follow a color chart and use the specific brand of thread it calls for? I never have,I have a large bin of thread,different brands and if it says moss green I just grab what ever green I like. How about you do follow a chart
