After unzipping an embroidery file is there any reason to keep the zipped file or should it just be deleted to save space? What do you ladies do?

When using varigated thread for free standing lace designs do you use it on the bobbin also or use the standard white bobbin?

elaine45, I found the ornaments you shared in the project link. They refer to them as fabric backed designs. Did you do that or just stitched as free standing lace?
