Hi, Can anyone give me some info on the brother p-1000 embroidery machine? Is it an alright machine for a beginner and does it take the brother embroidery cards? thanks

My frames are only 4x4's and there are bigger designs that I would like to do. Can some one explain to me what it means to have the designs spit and then how you do you embroider them out?
