Pincushion. I loved Sue's appliquéd flowers hand made style. I could not resist trying out if I could place the applique fabric as nicely as she did. Four years ago I made a flower design to adorn a scarf for my daughter (see picture 2) I took that
Pincushion Just had to try one too - ITH. Before filling it looked like a doll's bib, but after stuffing it, it looked much better. I also did one with a rounded "point" but then the heart shape is far less obvious - that one will stay a bib.
Biscornu The last pincushion, I really must do something else. They all fit a 4x4 hoop. I stitched a treble stitch on my sewing machine along the edge (forgot to digitise that) and used a whip stitch through those stitches to sew the two
Cross stitch ITH pincushion It fits a 4x4 hoop, the crosses are 1.8 mm and I used 30wt cotton thread to embroider. I digitised it in 2 colours, seperate colour for the hearts, but used only one in this case.
Cross stitch pincushion I digitised and stitched out today, front and back took 10 minutes each, on top of part of a piece I have been working on for years. That one has 14 threads or 7 crosses to the cm and is a bit hard on my (current) eyesight.
