Another copyright question. I'm just treated myself to the cross-stitch plug-in for Embird so I'm playing with designs. Who will I upset if I digitise some traditional Eastern European designs which have been around for hundreds of years?

Sllakin asked if there was a heart shaped ITH purse design with a diagonal zip. It seems that there isn't, although there is a pattern available for one to be made on a sewing machine. If I digitise one am I contravening the copyright laws? Discuss...

Does anyone have any tips for me for digitising for the Janome macro hoop? If I select that as the hoop in Embird Studio, the finished product always "exceeds embroidery area". I've only had any success by saving the two parts of the design separately
