I've been working on this one for ages. The outside is hand stitched (English paper pieced with 2cm hexagons.) The left hand panel (with the pockets) is made ITH and has spaces for a small notebook, pencils and other bits and pieces. The large pocket on
I've given this quilt to my sister for Christmas. The hexagons are English Paper Pieced by had, the pictures are Sfumato and the quilting is by machine. The central picture is our Mother. My two sisters above, me bottom left and my daughter bottom rig
Wooden trinket box. Embroidery design from Urban Threads.
Daughter asked for fabric scissors for Christmas. I decided a case would complete the gift nicely. I first came up with the recycled denim version (The biggest I could fit in my hoop.) Then I found it fit my scissors perfectly, but not the ones I had boug
I had these two mugs printed with photographs of Herdwick sheep for my daughter. I printed the same pictures onto fabric and used that to make a pair of mugrugs. I knew she wouldn't approve of quilting over the pictures so I compromised by using a jigsaw
Table runner pieced and quilted in 4 sections and joined in the hoop. I added the back on the sewing machine. I didn't have quite enough left of the six fabrics from the placemats to do what I really wanted, but I am quite pleased with this.
Cute or scary? (I only had one size of safety eyes and enough white fleece for a small bear!)
I've been improving on some of the designs I digitised when I first started. The grandparents of these two were in DBC! I think the method of construction is now much easier than in the originals. Both of these designs are now available from Engineere
Crazy patchwork placemats and coasters. I had a pack of six Christmas fat quarters so I decided to make placemats by the "stack and whack" method. I quite like how they turned out, but I need a matching runner now for the middle of the table! (And a muc
I managed to make these just before my machine threw a wobbler. (It is now in hospital.) I've made ith crochet hook cases before, but I like these the best.
These little tea light houses were yesterdays doodle. The windows are organza. The felt under the spots was trimmed away and replaced with net before stitching with glow in the dark thread.
I was asked by an elderly (male) friend if I could make something for his great niece for Christmas. I asked him how old she is and what she likes and all he could tell me was "about 3"! So I decided a fat pink bear might fit the bill. I've been doodli
Evening bag, fully lined with no raw edges inside. Made in the hoop (2 hoopings). The design on the flap is built into my machine and the bag design is my own. Must look at the built in designs more often!
Bag made in the hoop and decorated with a lovely design from Urban Threads. It has a magnetic fastener. I wish I had put the liming in the flap the other way up, but I didn't think it through. I hope the crease in the imitation leather disappears w
This quilt will hang on my kitchen wall when December arrives. The lovely redwork designs are from Kreative Kiwi, the pieced ith block is mine and Heather at KK gave me permission to adapt one of her designs for my label. The whole thing is just about one
