Update. This design is now available in several sizes from My Garden Embroidery design. I think it could be very versatile. The largest on a tablecloth as shown, but the smallest (100mm square) would be good as a border on a tea towel. This design is

We haven't had a challenge for ages. I wonder if anyone can read my mind and tell me what I am thinking of suggesting?
I think I have finished! I managed to get some fairly realistic leaf green felt so my twigs now have leaves - glued on with hot glue. The little birds are on cute little clothes pegs so they can move about. They can even pop outside to greet their wild fr
Thanks to everyone for their opinions on size. The bigger dress is intended for a little girl who is 15 months old. She has a baby sister due in a few weeks, so I hope the smaller version will be about "newborn" size.
Baby dress made with guess work and imagination. It measures just over 20" or 50 cm around the chest. Can someone tell me what age it might fit? The bodice is made ITH and the row of baby animals is from Urban. The shoulders fasten with Kam Snaps.
Update. My big sister told me off because the doll had no shoes. I hope she is now satisfied! I made this little jointed rag doll (ITH) with "built in" underwear two or three years ago and I found her when I was having a bit of a clear out. I tho
Easter bunnies for two little girls. They are expecting a baby sister at the end of March so a third one will be made when she arrives.
Like bemara, I couldn't resist this design yesterday. I used up my last few bits of old jeans to make this bag. The text shows up better in real life - I couldn't seem to get the exposure right on the photograph,
I was intrigued and inspired by Peafarm's post yesterday and have now done a similar reverse applique in the hoop. I added extra lines to my quilt block to do the equivalent of stitching in the ditch. First I put together the basic quilt block then
This cushion is made of the nine 140mm square quilt blocks I digitised for my J-club ladies. They should keep them busy for a while!
Another spin-off from my Bodger's Dream Quilt. I've been adjusting the designs to 180mm square for a friend and I thought I would try this one 4 times to make a cushion cover. The central square looked a bit plain so I finished it with some topstitching
My bingo wings are killing me! (For those unfamiliar with the term, bingo wings are those unattractive flabby bits of our upper arms where we used to have nicely toned muscles.) I did quite a lot of rotary cutting yesterday and all that pressure has re
There are some fabulous examples of the use of Tags in the Projects section which have made me promise to try harder to add them to my own projects. Some hints on their use: Each time you press the space bar you will have a new tag. If you want
Work in progress. The ladies at my J-club want to try ITH quilt blocks but most are limited to 140mm x 200mm hoops. So, I've been fiddling with the blocks that I digitised for my "bodger's dream" quilt. They were 230mm square and I thought they might
