I have never used it so am no help there. I do use Metro thread and it sews out beautifully and is priced very reasonably. It is 40 wt. polyester. Pricing is $.89 for 1000 m and $2.75 for the 5000 m spool. They also
sell by packages. I have added the link for you.

I have used Marathon threads and very happy with the results. When I first got my machine I bought a huge amount a special deal $1 each from Canada.
They contacted me to say they don't ship to Aust. I thanked them and said what a pity I missed out on the deal of a life time. The office lady said she would put it through and personally take it to the post office as it couldn't be sent the way they normally send.
Now that is what I call customer service as I was obviously only going to be a one off sale for them.
I now buy from Marathon threads in Melbourne Aust.

I too love Marathon thread. I by from Marathon Canada and they ship to the US. I have tried the Metro and didn't like it but they also offer Sigma and that I like also.
