Carolyn's nice project had me having a go at digitising some cross stitch designs. As our planned trip to Norway was cancelled due to my hubby having some health problems my diary was empty and I had time on my hands.

Have yet to stitch them, need to find the right fabric first. Here are the computer generated images of two of them.

Dank je. Hij had een TIA maandagmorgen en het gaat gelukkig weer goed, maar reizen was hem verboden voor een week.

Where is DBC when we NEED it? These are precious.
What you are calling your diary, I think is what I call my To-Do list.

These are really pretty, Martine! Have you tried digitizing cross stitch in TRU embroider for Mac?? It is driving me crazy! I have tried several X motifs stitches but they don't show up as X's. The cross stitch creator for PC version was so easy. I do not understand why they did were not able to make the Mac version to function more like the PC version.
TRU I for Mac has so any problems!!!! I think it is a shame a company can take people like this. They had things going pretty well in th PC version and I loved the 4D and thought surely the Mac version would run correctly.

I am so sorry to hear TRU is so disappointing. I use either 5D or 6D - skipped 4D, but assume the CS module was just as easy to use. And thevdesign file converts well to every embroidery format I tried, only negative still is you can't bulk convert to more than one format - quite annoying when you want to share it.
Why TRU would be so awkward is beyond me. At the price you might expect it to run well.

Thank you, he is doing better, big question is will he be following doctor's orders in the long run.
Isn't it funny how soon your diary is filled with new appointments - " now that you are home could you ... "

Thanks Lilian. I am so happy it happened at home and not during our drive through Germany and Denmark or worse during the 12 hour ferry crossing. Now he was in hospital within half an hour.

Sorry about your cancelled trip and I wish your DH a quick recovery.
Love those cherry designs, they look great. Did you get the software create the corners? I can't do it like that in Embird.
Hugs, Lidia

The software can let you rotate 90 degrees at a time. So I made a corner one separately. As they are just two circles for the cherries, a few leaves and lines it was not that time consuming, but it would be great if you could rotate a more complicated design to more angles than 90.
So I made a separate design at a 45 degree angle and copied and pasted the two. To get the circle right I drew one and used that as a placement guide, which I deleted afterwards. The rectangle was easy after that. And of course I did not stop there and made some others from doilies to a bookmark, borders, a centerpiece...
Time to test them now I feel less shaky.
