Hello to you all. With the SS birthday swap coming up, it made me wonder as to where or what happens to some Cuties. I am sure I am not the only one who sent my package off to a Cutie last year and they have not posted since. I know that we all have full lives - some more than others but I am just wondering...................

I wonder that too.seems some just fade away and then we have what I call the regulars ,the ones who are here all the time (like me). The latest missing Cutie seems to be Leaha.

Leah was her quite often and I now realize that she has not posted for ages.
Her latest post was 27 days ago.

Forgot to add....I can understand how it feels Sarah....when we put in so much love and effort in something we atleast expect an acknowledgement!( unless someone really had unavoidable circumstances as thats how life is)

I do agree with you, at least a thank you would be nice. I for sure cherish the lunch bag I got last time. It is with me every day when I got to work !
I think I have been misunderstood . It is not thanks I am looking for, it is just to understand what happens to people who post so much and join in with a SS swap and after a couple of months disappear.
Maybe it's related to what happened to me in Yahoo groups. I got way overcommitted and then realized it was consuming way too much of my life and signed out of some of them. Of course, anyone who would feel that way about this site would be showing poor judgment. :D

I have received some great presents which I love as someone has gone to the trouble of making something for me. People appear and disappear for various reason. I have taken part in most of the swaps that Sue organises for us. Once again thanks to her for arranging this swap. Just keep on wondering Sarah

I thought it only happened to me. I also thought she must not of liked it. It was my first attempt, however it had a lot of elements to it. It is hard to come up with something when you can do almost anything. Lol!

The disappearance of Cuties worries me enormously and I often try to chase up those who go AWOL (sometimes with success.)
With the Secret Santa, quite a few of the participants never post although I know they lurk almost every day. It is more worrying when a regular contributor disappears suddenly like your Christmas Cutie. Each day when I see the list of Birthday Greetings appear I recognise names of those who haven't posted for years.
We don't have as many people as usual taking part in the SS this time - I hope they all stick around!

hi airyfairy, i'm one of the SS who disappeared! i was absolutely obsessed when i first joined cuties some years ago. even to the extend of practically having some sleepless nights. then the grandchildren came along one in America and one in Johannesburg. Work became a nightmare (i hardly have time to go shopping). My daughter in JNB did numerous photoshoots with her baby and I was creating all the costumes! So i wasn't embroidering too much and Cute got left behind. I've tried to log in but with my new cell phone whatsapp and odd emails is almost my sum total of communication!
Ill try to get back into the swing and use my machine more(by the way the 440 that got stolen was replaced by a 580!) So all Cuties Hello and will try to be online more often. ElizabethAK

Hi Elizabeth, I often wonder about you. Are you still in PE. Great to have you here and pleased you replaced your machine after the robbery you had. Just hope we have enough power for you to use it :))
Yes I'm still in PE. Still working but going on holiday to my son in San Jose for 7 weeks.
