Another jewelry class with the Brain Injury ladies... A special treat in time for Mother's Day for ourselves. Can you tell I just love the colour burgundy!!!!! This time I did the 2cd earring all on my own, the first one she used mine for an example to show us what to do so I got one done from the teacher lol. Swavarski Crystals & they reflect the light so well. All are allergy free... Sterling silver parts as anything else can compromise recovery.(stainless steel should not be worn on or near the head after any injury especially glasses or so we are learning) I have not worn glasses for very long but I do & they are plastic coated arms so I am ok there lol I learn something new every time I go

I'm so glad you are still going to these classes. The earrings are stunning and you have every right to be proud of them. I hope you get to wear them soon. I did not know about stainless steel compromising recovery from brain surgery. Keep teaching us these nuggets of wisdom.

Yikes my glasses are not plastic! Thankfully my metal implanted is titanium but I need to find out more so I can address the glasses issue. Can you give me any information on where to look up the research on this? My google of brain surgery stainless steel did not get the needed results and I need to find out more. Thanks, Pam

very pretty - love the idea of making earrings. I didn't know about the stainless steel either and my computer won't let me go down the comments to see if there was an explanation. Seems strange to me - maybe a magnetic item wouldn't be good. Is stainless steel magnetic? Anyway - you seem to be doing very well!

I have never heard about not wearing stainless steel near the head after a brain injury. Can you tell me more about it and do you have a website that has this information?

Thank you
