Hi there Cuties! Want to share a little more of baking with you all :)

Has anyone made an attempt on a rainbow cake or a zebra cake?
I have done both using the same technique....the rainbow cake hasnt turned out that well but atleast there are all the 7 colours visible in every piece. ..hahaha :)
I had just 3 basic food colours...red...blue and yellow! Managed to mixup and get all other shades...just wasnt happy with the violet (looks more like brown to me)
The zebra cake should look like the stripes of a zebra....I have pics of 2 different zebra cakes of mine :)
Thanks for looking!

Lovely cakes, I bet they are yummy. I have been making multi coloured cakes for over 40 years. The first was made as a joke then when we had children I always made a multi coloured cake for their birthday cake. Its now a family tradition that I do or Twm and soon Gruff. Cakes like these always create a surprise

well they both look great, but when I got the offer to taste this cakes , I prefer the zebra cake

I think the coloured one has too many colours for me too eat....but it's great to see it. I think it's just me , I don't like blue or green icecream also...
But you realy did a great job to make them:)

I know many people avoid food colours and its true that after all they are mostly chemicals!
But i dont mind it occasionally and in something like this we need to use! :)
Thanks a lot!

That is really fun! I can see how layering could make stripes, but these are vertical? I think I need a video! Lol!
