I am looking at Huck Toweling..by the yard...JoAnn's Fabrics has it and so does Nancy's Notions...anyone know which is of better quality? Or, anyone have a better place to order it? Thanks!

I have not bought from either one of these. I buy mine from Fabric Depot. It is very good quality and holds up very well. I just finished up a table runner from some that I bought last week from them. They are out of Portland Or. I placed my order on Monday and had my fabric by Wednesday and I am in Pennylvania. I have ordered from them many times and have always received quality fabric. Once I received some with a flaw and I called them. They said send it back and they replaced it immediately and paid for my return shipping. I love dealing with this company.

EmbroderThis says, "Huck Towels were tradition loom woven in the 19th century and are very absorbent and lint free."

I used to do huck towels years ago...when I could do hand work. Still have some. Use emb. thread to do it. Maybe I should post a pic?

If you are old enough to remember...it's the fabric toweling that used to be in restrooms that you used to dry your hands on. It's not very wide and you leave the slevege on.

I bought a bolt of it from Joan's with a coupon. I don't know about Nancy's.
