I just found out my Godson's wife, Simone, is having a mastectomy this Wednesday, June 3rd.
Please spare a moment to send up a prayer for her complete recovery from this insidious disease, cancer.
They have two little children, under 9, too young to lose their Mum. I am feeling gutted.

My Godson, Brett, is the youngest child of my oldest and dearest friend Val, who we lost ten years ago before Brett's first child was born.
We were closer than sisters from the very moment we first met, at the age of five. We shared all our triumphs and heartaches over fifty one years, until her early death. I feel like a Mum to Brett and his sister, but all I can offer is my prayers and support as Brett lives so far away now and I cannot be there.
