Doily in the making.
After a rather unproductive period as far as embroidery is concerned I finally tested this cross stitch design. It's 20x20 cm but I made other arrangements as well.
I used variegated thread for the leaves; the light part is very light, which does not show up too well in the picture.
Added a detail of the corner.

Thank you. There were so many leaves compared with the amount of flowers I thought I could either use two shades of green - and have more jumps that way - or choose variegated thread. And I loved the result.

Martine, this is just so delicate and a perfect design for something like a table mat, cloth etc. The cross-stitch style is one of my favourite styles. Love Chris
