No not felt. Cotton on centre of the flap and plain about 50 % cotton with small ridges for the rest, not sure what it is called. We had dyed rope to make baskets and used some of this for the handles
I would love to see some pics of the rope baskets!!! Very nice job on the bag! Looks like GD will be taking after her grannie!!! :)
