1980's Simplicity dress pattern-The appliqued ice cream is from Zippy. I used pink minky for the ice cream. She likes the feel of it. The monogram on the orange side, is the Victor font from Apex, which I downsized 10% at a time, until I got it the size I wanted. Both designs stitched perfectly. The little shoes are like the ones I made before. Insect bites that she can't 'not' scratch. #3 & #4 photos doesn't have elastic in legs yet-Not the best of photos, she has been cranky the last two days! -She likes the ice cream side of the dress but loves the orange shoes!-Hope you like all of it-Toogie EDITED 6-12-15 Showing the stabilizer I used and also the Grip fabric for the bottom of sole. This is not waterproof but if you use it for young ones you usually carry inside, its okay. Nora does wear hers outside, in dry weather, but she is wearing the rubber dots off on the first pair.

Toogie, these are both such cute little outfits. Are the little bells ringing all the time so you can keep track of her? If they are quiet you know to go running to see what she is into. Poor little one, bug bites are the worst when they itch!

Her mom and dad got her this bracelet for her first birthday. It hasn't came off since and she will be two next month. She does gingle so it easy to find her. Thanks for looking

Yes, they do itch and she has one that bothers her more than the others. She really does pretty good for as many as she has. It has rained so much the mosquitos are terrible, and she loves to be outside. Thanks for looking and as almost always, these pieces were in my fabric stash.

It's like having a really pretty baby doll to dress again like when we were girls, isn't it. These are precious, Toogie. P.S. I think with that bracelet, finger nail polish is ALSO required!

It's there, the toes are polished and she picked the color! If she were still here I'd send you a shot of them.-Speaking of real live baby dolls. Last week a friend had another baby. Nora and her mom went to see it. They 'helped' her hold it, but when they tried to take it back Nora cried NO! She didn't want to give it up! She said it was 'her' baby.-lol

I'm just a Gram, like most on here, nothing special. I am trying to make Avery a pair of these shoes. Her feet are bigger, so I am enlarging the pattern, to try to fit her. Thanks for looking,Laura-Toogie

Oh Toogie these are darling! I love that it is reversible & the colours are so pretty! I love the shoes/slippers! Poor wee thing has been bitten all over. Not sure if you have Detol over there States side but it takes away the itch right away. It smells but it works great! Ask me how I know. ~hugs~

Thanks Loralye, never heard of Detol but I need to get something for them, when they're here. They ate her and Avery up. I think they got in the Expedition/SUV when they were loading the wheelchair and bit both girls on the way home.

Oh Toogie - this little dress outfit is so adorable. I like that it is reversible, and I bet her mom does too! Those shoes are just awesome. What do you put in the soles to make the bottoms more sturdy? Thx. Great job all around.

I am making some for Avery and I'll try to put in Sewing when I finish, but I used starting from the inside-lining fabric with iron on Pellon, two layers of fleece for cushion, and giffy grip for non slip....Thanks

More deliciously cute outfits and shoes. Love the cheery fabrics too. What an adorable little model you have. Cranky or not, she is too cute modeling the outfits, especially the orange shoes (I love them too)! Your embroidery and applique, as usual, look terrific. Great job!

Now I have got to go find a pattern like this---shoes and all for my great-grand daughter. Are the shoes your pattern?? I didn't pay good attention I guess--just at the pattern laid out. Love this! Cute little gal and lucky one also.

Not hard at all, so don't be intimidated. Be sure to iron on the Pellon 809, to give body, to the lining sole and U shape. I also add it to my strap. I buy it at Hancock Fabrics by the bolt-lol It's regular $4.99 but I ALWAYS have a 40% off coupon or more. It is also 45" wide. Maybe I can add another photo-lol
by toogie 12 Jun 2015
Also photo of the Giffy Grip I use on the outer sole, read at EDIT at top main post here.

She picked the orange fabric. She opens my drawers and got it out for 'Nora's dress'. She ended up liking the ice cream side of the dress, but the orange shoes.-lol-I would love to see your little dresses.-Toogie
