My grandson has called to tell me the name of the baby-to-be so ( a little girl) due July 1st Canada Day. I decided to make something with her name on it. So far I have come up with this burpie. The design is an applique design, I did the hearts but decided that the sky did not need a background fabric because the name is pretty enough. I added pink rick rack...does this make it look more like it is for a girl

Beautiful design. I think it's perfect for a girl. With the name of Skye, there will always be a lot of blue, but your use of yellow and red/pink softens it up for the girls.
