You can type whatever it is you want to do for your embroidery just like you would on a Word document... no need to insert one letter at a time.

Since asking this question - I have found a few very helpful YouTube videos which helps a lot. Apparently, you can use this format in a free version of Embrilliance software. Could be a time saver. I guess I need to investigate further. Thank you for your help!

Embrillance has a free version - that you can save your words as PES format when you are through and then you can use them in Pe Design. I am amazed as to how many Embroidery sites have gone back and offered this format for previous purchases.

BX is just wonderful. Makes life so easy. I also use PES and have no problems.

The more I investigate it - the more impressed I am. Do you know what the limitations of the free program are?

when you don't have the BX you can "map" your alphabets in Embird and once done you can use them as any predigitised alphas and type in names etc. The Embird site has a tutorial - very easy to follow and very convenient to use.

Thanks, Martine - I will have to find that Embird tutorial. The BX formatted fonts are just dragged and dropped in the program.

You can find the tutorial here http://www.embird.net/sw/embird/tutorial/leterng5/leterng5.htm
It looks more daunting than it is and for those old favourites it is worth doing.

Cuties are awesome! I have Embrilliance and never knew that I could use the BX font and add it so easily! This is wonderful, I thought I had to buy the AlphaTricks program!
