how do I cut underlying stitches? I am trying to digitize a design, but so far when I go to add the eyes they will be on top of the layer underneath; I can't figure out how to remove the stitches under the eyes so I am not embroidering on already placed stitches if I don't want to.
I am using floriani total control

Hi and Welcome to Cute! I do not use Floriani, but I am sure there is a way...try looking for "Remove Overlaps" or "Mask" or something like that in your Edit tools...or go to your manual and see if there is something in the Editing section that talks about it...I just Googled it...it is a new feature in Floriani Embroidery Suite 4.73. Not sure what version you have, but I have heard that all upgrades with Floriani are free....I have tried to add the link below...it is a PDF of how to do Remove Overlaps...hope it helps!

In most software I know (and Floriani is not one of them) you can digitise one or more holes in a fill object, often with a separate tool and symbol. The picture shows the icons for a filled object and a filled object with holes in 5D, I bet Floriani has some icons for that as well.
Make the holes fractionally smaller than the object you want to place in it to avoid any gaps.
I had a look at the Floriani site and noticed the tutorials are only available from within the programme - maybe you can find the solution to your problem there.
