Hi and Welcome to Cute...I see that spendlove has answered your question...get'em all downloaded during your 6-month membership...and I suggest also putting all on a CD for your back up!

If I may give some unsolicited advice, when you purchase the membership and start downloading, have a plan that will allow you to search for the design you want by how you name it and how you file it. For example, I have a Cute Embroidery folder. Inside the folder, I have sub folders, named animals, insects, flowers, children, fonts, etc. It makes it easier to find what you are looking for.

You have your answer and some very good advice on how to store the designs you download. Welcome to the cream of the crop when it comes to Sew forums. You can do no better than cute. We are more than just a Sew Forum you see, we are friends. When you need help just ask someone will be along to help and if they can't they will point you in the direction to go to get help. First Welcome. Most understand this but seems I see comments through the messages every so often ...so let me add, that the 6 mo membership is for just the cute embroidery site. The Cute Alphabets, Adorable Applique, & Cute Cross Stitch sites do not have memberships available but the Amazing Embroidery site is another of the sister sites, that there is a membership available there also, but each membership is only for the one site. There are some sets that may later end up on another of the sites, but not too often, just be aware. It does seem like the memberships go on sale, I think 2 X a yr, & we are getting close to the next sale time, that is if we are going to have a sale again during the Cute Birthday week celebration. As you likely have read through the various messages after each days freebie designs, the support service links are not working, but the moderators here, have been extremely helpful in helping to answer any questions that they are able & then will pass on the info for Veronica, the site owner and digitizer, for those things that they can not help with. As several other members here have also stated, have a plan as to how you are going to store and label your designs. Advice I was given, was to start with the oldest designs and work your way up to the most current, as the numbers only go up in number, not jumping around etc and it will take likely weeks before you get all the designs saved that you are wanting to download and this way you will be able to keep track of where you had finished downloading to. You can also save the design more than once, so if you want to save the design in 2-3 different folders, then you are able to do that. There is no limit as to how many times you download a design. I do not have a business that I am trying to keep thousands upon thousands of designs organized, so I likely save my designs different than others choose to store their designs. I always change the name of the file to ED- for Embroidery Design- CE - for Cute Embroidery- then the number code that the design is assigned on the site. With my memory issues this helps me to be able to check if a freebie has already been saved in my files. After the design file has been saved and renamed, I then highlight/copy and save that name then right click the picture of the design and save image as and use that new name with the word "show" after it, so that I have all my embroidery designs all together, divided by the site name or abbreviation and after the design folder, will then be a picture of the design, so I need only to scan through my downloads to see the design thumb nail pictures. There are also other programs which would save the design pictures for you. Finally when you have downloaded all the designs you wish, be sure to back up your files, as it is rarely a week goes by that someone is posting that their computer, thumb drive or external hard drive had crashed yet again. Your designs are valuable in not just money terms, but in the time it takes to organize and download them all. Better to be safe and have 2-3 back ups & hopefully never need them. Several also have advised to save designs in at least 2 formats just in case something happens to one of them. You will not be able to have enough hours in the day to test every design you download before the 6 months membership time expires and if you only download one format and find later there were problems with that design file, you would then need to purchase the design, designs saved during a membership are not kept in your account files just designs checked out through the shopping cart are designs that go into your account files of designs. Hope that makes sense but is also the policy at most sites that do have memberships available. If you purchase a design it is saved in your account pages, if it is received as a free design or during a membership cycle those generally are not kept or saved in your account of designs.
