My eldest grand daughter in her prom dress. She was thrilled when she saw it. Only completed it 1 am day of the prom. There are clear crystals all over it that glistened in the sunlight. Fitted perfectly, could only fit in 2 fittings.

Great job and yes I made my share or the prom dresses or formals for my daughter while she was in college. We would go down to Sax, Neiman Marcus and other high end stores and try on until something looked great and then I would start copping and using parts of several patterns. Sometimes I would get over the top with my design and retail back ground and my daughter would roll her eyes ,but we always came up with a real knockout dress .When my daughter graduated she had a special sale of formal dresses in the sorority house and they were all gone. I had a nervous break down with each one ,but i survived Kay

Thanks for sharing your memories Kay. I have many stories to tell also. Won't make a wedding dress as the 3 I made the couples only stayed together no more than 18mths each. My eldest daughter was one of them.
