This is so sweet. I have never seen one of these! I'm sure the little 'star' will be very cozy in it.

I am surprised you never have seen a nest. In Sweden "every" baby got them. Most of them homemade. They can use them up to 3 months
by toogie 03 Jul 2015
Not anything like this. We had a bassinet, which is like a basket, up higher on legs. Did you make the 'nest'? If so, what is on the bottom, for support?
by anitapatch 03 Jul 2015
This has not a hard bottom. I have thin polysterbatting 3 layers. They use this "beds" when having the baby beside you in the sofa and they put this nest in the babybed. Babies like them. Sleep better. Think it is because they were used to small room when in mums utero and those are also small
by toogie 03 Jul 2015
That is so true Anita. At the neonatal intensive care unit of the hospital, they have these little 'beds' that wrap around the baby for comfort, since you can't hold them. I will try to find a photo of Avery or Isabella to show you. You are so good at finding us sites, you need to locate us a pattern for one of these. I'm not expecting anymore grand children but maybe a great grandchild, after grandsons wife finishes college.

I'm remember my cousins who are around 30 having those in the USA but not the ones after them. I think because of sids they stopped recommending them

It does look comfortable. Right now any bed would look good to me. I am up, middle of the night, with my husband. He fell in the bathtub tonight and re-hurt his back. In terrible pain, so its no use me going to bed. He is in the living, sitting room right now. It took him forever to walk from the bedroom. I do feel for him because sometimes its my back. No sleep tonight...........

Angelika

Yes I have made it myself. It is easy sewing
by Ossineu 03 Jul 2015
Hast Du ein Schnittmuster dafür oder könntest mir sagen, wo ich es kaufen kann.
Ich würde so ein Babynest gern für mein nächstes Enkelkind nähen.
by anitapatch 03 Jul 2015
I used this http://junimamma.blogspot.com.es/p/babynest-monster-beskrivning.html In mine I used polysterbatting in the bottom you can also use foam.
