A start to the birthday gifts for my parents. We have to pay for grocery bags & have had to do this for quite some time. (except for Wal~Mart) it helps to be green (pun intended lol) so I made this bag for my mom to fit in her purse. So often we forget we have bags in the car so rather then make the trek back again it is nice to grab this from your purse. I used a yellow snap to make it easier for her to see. I wasn't really happy with the rectangle bag holder. I much prefer the square bag to hold the grocery bag in..which do you like better?

I use green bags all the time and I love them. In South Australia plastic bags have been banned for quite some time. I'm hoping New South Wales will follow suit. I love them both, love Chris

What a lovely bag you've done &I like both bags. Seems to me while plastic maybe a problem store owners& shoppers should still have a choice about what to use. Here in the states stores give a discount to shoppers who use cloth bags. Just a thought &have a good day. :~D

that is a great option, here @ one of the bigger chains ( & sister companies) they give one penny for every recycled bag you use (not plastic) & those pennies sure add up. We were able to buy a TV with our pennies! Thank you Robin very much ~hugs * **~

I like this,Guess I'm a square person,like it best. Glad I do not have to pay for bags. I recycle them and use for small garbage can liners. In the past I've also cut them up(plastic ones) and crocheted mats for the porches to wipe feet on before entering house. Now they make the bags to disintegrate easily so that's a waste of time./Lillian

wow what a clever girl you are to recycle them into a mat. Well done. I use ours for garbage too but I am trying to stop getting them. Hubs isn't one for remembering the bags lol
