I am embroidering high heel shoes on the edge of two pillowcases. My question is this: is there a right or wrong way to have your design face. For example, my shoe tips are facing right on the pillowcase that I am embroidering now. Should the other pillowcase have the shoe tips pointing right too, or to the left? Thank you for your thoughts

Oh, Cathleen - I just don't think there is a wrong or right way on this. I would suggest you embroider it as you think it will look the best!!! Be sure to post it to projects so we can admire the finished product! Hugs, Laura*

I've been told there isn't any wrong or right way to embroidery on things; only ' guidelines ' to help you decide. Hope to see these soon, sound very interesting. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Think of the pillowcases on pillows on the bed and then decide which way you want them to go. That's the way I do it.

I'd make the second one a mirror image of the first. (Shoes pointing the opposite way.)
Of course it is entirely up to you!

Some people choose to put the hems on outside some on inside... i would like the shoe toes both facing the center of pillow others I have seen done them in the corners to each their own. I am sure they will be lovely
