sewing is so therapeutic I would be lost without it. I had been thinking about the quick mitered corner receiving blankets & I thought that technique would work well on other items made sort of the same way. I have also been collecting the Charming Station designs for some time now & thought I would give one a try. SO although the words are crooked I really wanted to try the mitered corner technique on this so I cut the background fabric only 1 inch bigger all the way around & did it the same way & I am very happy to say that it works really well & now I have a mugrug for the holidays lol. Something I think I can use on many other things to make mitered corners.

I also have collected these designs for sometime also. I'm glad to see something made with them......You did a great job. I will also try and make me some when my machine gets out of the shop..:(
I love snowmen, I'm addicted to them and have them all over at Christmas time.
Keep up the good work and thanks for the idea. *4U

Doesn't he just want to make you light up with smiles and sunshine? I love the simplicity of these snowmen and you've done a wonderful job with the mitred corners! Sorry, us Aussies always spell words differently. Love Chris

The simplicity of this rug really demonstrates how effective less can be. A great use of that snowman...and a gentle reminder to start working for Christmas!

Well if it does nothing else it was successful in making me feel a little cooler. LOL We have been having100 degree F. For several weeks now with little or no rain. A storm night before last, high winds, some trees down, lots of debris in pool but very little rain. I love your little snowman mug rug. Well done/Lillian
