This is a fantastic project! I love that frame on the coasters. Did you use varigated thread to do it? The towel is fun with the little rick rack added too!

Thanks! No the embroidery design stitches it out. It explains everything in the pdf that comes with the set.

How summery! With this awful heat and humidity we are having in GA right now I would love to have a nice cold watermelon (but I wouldn't dare drip any thing on your mats, coasters or towels). Your ensemble is really nice and cheerful. Great embroidering!

Thanks Nancy. They all wash. I am not enjoying the heat either. Tuesday had to go about an hour away for appt and the heat index was 110. So over this hot hot summer ready for fall.

I feel so much empathy for you with regard to the heat! Summers here in Australia are so hot! At the moment we are having the coldest winter in years! The weather is all over the place.

Such a delightful watermelon design set you've made& looks so tasty in this time of high southwestern temps too. Wondered are the coasters or hot pad quilted with cotton batting or are they heat resistant? Thanks for sharing them &the design info too. :~

Thanks so much The coasters are backed with 2 layers of felt. The pot holder I put a layer of cotton batting ,2 layers of insul-bright and that silver ironing board cover. It's fat but It should protect your hands.The directions are in the PDF. The large mat I made out of the wedge pattern she includes in the set. It is insu-lbright and batting then cotton fabric.
