If you want a good tip here is one I think you might like: I want to make more key fobs in different textures & colours without breaking the bank. So I went & looked @ all my old purses & what do you know I got 10 swivel lobster claws & some new colours for more fobs from the faux purse pleather & vinyl! All it cost me was a trip down memory lane lol. A great way to recycle!

Great idea. I looked in a charity shop near me with the idea of doing the same thing. Trouble is they were so expensive. Worked out cheaper to buy 20 centimetres about 8 inches of 5 different colours from the fabric shop. The lady was very generous with her measuring so got a bit more than I paid for.

I fear that the key fobs are all the rage now so a limited selection is available still wise to get smaller bits of more colours since they take such a small bit of material.

I was fortunate as I had a pink, dark green, black, cream & beige bag so that was 10 pcs of hardware & a few more colours then I started with lol

Well done Loralye, it's always good to keep things just in case you can reuse them later! Love Chris

Out of a $1 faux alligator purse from the thrift store I got enough material for 8 key fobs, 5 zippers and a set of handles. An awesome find!

Great tip. Went to Op shop and got 4 bags for 50cent and wow did I get some items from them, zips, closures,, handles , rings enough soft leather in white, gold, tan and fake alligator skin. If I used it just for key fobs I could make about 200. very happy
