7/19 I had a crisis yesterday. One of my 10 week old kittens Muffin who is full of life ,funny and very playful was sitting on the floor not moving. She did not want to eat. Her temp was 94.9 Critical.... I rushed her to the vets. He gave her a shot of antibiotics and a steroid. he told me to infuse her with 15cc ringers. I brought her home and did that. She was freezing. I wrapped her with fuzzy blankets and a heating pad. I held onto her for hours.
Suddenly she got worse and got limp in my arms. I rushed her to the vets again. He said she was dying. He wanted to try something else or we could put her down. I opted to try..... He gave her IV's and tube fed her and gave her another shot. An hour later she was holding her head up. I was crying.
He sent me home with her and told me to bring her back today. He was going to be at the office doing surgeries. I dropped her off and he is going to do IV's on Muffin again. I pick her up at 3 today. Let me say it was a long day yesterday and night last night.
This morning she was sitting up and meowed at me. I think she has turned the corner. I prayed so hard for her and thank you Karen for praying also. Little ones get so critical so fast. I know their personalities and know when something is wrong. Thank God she is going to make it though she is not out of the woods yet. She is a long haired beautiful Tortie. Thanks for listening. I hate to lose any of them. They are all special to me. All Gods precious beings. Suzanne
