Hi Cuties. Due to a very busy life at the moment I am not here often BUT I have just has a chat to my dealer. One of my machines is there for tlc. Time and time again people here ask for advice on a problem. I often say and am saying again that the dealer I use is brilliant and is always at the end of a phone for help and advice. This saves me hours on the road as they are miles away. So a good dealer is there for their customers for assistance, help, advice. The after care service is important when you buy a machine

That is my first advice to those looking for a machine too. Had one friend who bought from a far away dealer because the price was lower and then expected the close dealer to service and help and teach. You know how that turned out! Hugs. Nan W

Yes and Amen. My dealer gets people all the time who have "gotten a deal" on the internet who come in and want his free classes on how to use the machine. They don't realize, if they paid his slightly higher price, (in his store) they would get lots of freebies with the machine (tools and supplies), free classes and one-on-one forever, and 10% off all fabric and notions purchases forever - worth the difference right there. Plus, when they need repair, he wouldn't be mad at them to start with for buying elsewhere and expecting HIS service! He's buying customer loyalty with all those free things and it works. I've bought 3 machines from him so far, my Janome 350E, my new Innovis, and a great little sewing machine, for "occasional" use.

I agree with you 1,000%. I am now driving a couple of hours one way to get my machines serviced. They are no longer under warranty and this tech does a much better job servicing them. Worth the day to do this.

I wholeheartedly agree! I didn't buy from a place 20 minutes from me because of the snarky way the owner treated my friend. I took my money 1 hour drive away and have never regretted it.

You are so lucky to have a good dealer for any back up service. I wish I could say the same. Have been having problems with my machine for a couple of months now. Dealer fixed a part that was not broken and charged me for it. Am still waiting for the correct part to arrive and hope he fixes it correctly.

My dealer is a couple of hours away from me. But what the heck! He is there and he does a great job each and every time.
He does sell machines, so if your machine is getting long in the tooth he will offer to sell you a new machine with a great deal. And he is just as happy to help if you say "No" to buying a new machine. He did that for me for my overlocker (serger to some of you). And then he fixed it for free when I had problems with the thread the next time I was in there.
I buy a speciality foot for my sewing machine and I get a free lesson. How great is that?
My car was written off and he delivered my machine that had been in for service personally to my door as I had no way of picking it up for a few weeks.
