A little porch swing pillow. Made this today for some dear friends. While at the hospital with my husband (he was in an accident) our son called to say the upright freezer had not been closed securely and all of the food was ruined. This was on day 3 of 5 in the hospital so all I could ask him to do was close the door and let everything freeze again and I would deal with it (throw it away) when we got home. Our friends, Christy and Bob came by last Sunday with a sack full of meat to help us restock. Since they love sitting on their porch swing and they both love wild flowers, I thought this little pillow would be better than a "Thank You" card.

Oh gosh! What a lovely way to show them your appreciation! I'm sure that they'll treasure it. Sorry about the freezer. It wasn't what you needed at all. At least getting rid of frozen food is easier than icky unfrozen stuff.

Thank you for looking at my project and your sweet comments. Christy and Bob loved the pillow! No, it was not fun coming home to throw away food but as you mentioned at least I was able to refreeze it so it kept it from smelling so horribly ;)
